It all starts with an idea in my head …

When I started photography, I went out and snapped a photo. I hadn't thought about it in advance, but just photographed without thinking.

Today I do it differently. I usually have an idea in my head. Sometimes I get inspired by other photographers on Instagram, Flickr or 500px.

Then it becomes a small project. I have to plan the place, the season and time of day or night. Likewise, you have to think about what equipment you need to do it. Sometimes even what clothing, shoes, etc. I also have to make a plan how to get to the desired photo spot.

Arrived at the photo spot I always leave myself enough time to explore the place. Where is the best position for the camera? Which focal length is the best? Which aperture makes the most sense? Which filters should I use? All these things are important to get the best photo for me in the end.

It's not about the quantity of photos, but rather the quality and expressiveness of the photography.

Once the image is in the camera, I often look at the footage on the computer days later. I always shoot in raw format, so that I then have the maximum leeway in post-production to develop the images the way I want.
