The Gertelbach Creek Project

Over hill and dale, roots and rocks, over bridges, footbridges and steep steps, the path leads ever higher. And the fresh rushing of the Gertelbach and its waterfalls always accompanies the hike.

The path climbs more and more and the most exciting part of the tour begins. The stone steps become longer and steeper. In return, the waterfall cascades also become higher and the forested steep slopes of the gorge move closer together. A fairy-tale scenery surrounds the nature lover: thick firs and spruces, bright green bushes, ferns, mossy areas and the typical red sandstone blocks and rocks. The roaring Gertelbach becomes wilder and wilder. Over a length of one kilometer, the hikers climb 220 meters into the air.

Of course, there are also many nice places to rest, resting benches and mossy rocks. Partly the route leads over rope bridges, often the path crosses the torrent over wooden footbridges and bridges.
