Project Sunrise at the Slevogt Rock
It is fall in the southwest of Germany. According to my photo app, the forecast is for light clouds and morning red. The day before I drove with my camper to the Pfalz Forest. I get up at 3 o'clock in the morning, grab my photo backpack and headlamp. From the valley where my camper was, it was about 1.5 hours climb to the Slevogt Rock. Half an hour before sunrise I arrive at my photo spot. It is already twilight. With the headlamp I try to find the suitable position for the tripod. As the sun rises over the horizon, I am rewarded for the effort. The landscape shines in an orange-red light. It is not quite safe here on the rock, because from the night the rock surface is very slippery. Nevertheless, I'm happy about the great shots.
